It’s strawberry season, and June’s Full Moon tells us that this early-summer harvest is ready to pick!

This year I was able to have spent the Summer Solstice during some time off, and although my time off was from massaging, I still had to work physically in my garden, and on my land with my chickens. During this time, I noticed a wild strawberry patch! In fact, I have strawberry leaves all over my property, but I didn’t think they would fruit because the more it vines, the less it produces… But Mother Nature always provides, and we got this variety of small, wild, Quebec strawberries! They were perfect to wash and pop like popcorn.

I also have a bigger variety growing in pots, and they’re getting bigger just in time for the Full Strawberry Moon on June 29th, 2026.
I make these quick recipes all the time, they’re easy and nutritious! Please note, all my ingredients are organic, so I won’t list that for each item but stating it now advance.
Honor this season and your body with these healthy, guilt-free recipes:
Greek Yogurt Strawberry Bowl
¾ cup Greek yogurt
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp flax seeds
1-2 tbsp large, toasted coconut flakes
5-6 strawberries cut into halves
Simply mix the seeds into the yogurt, then top with coconut flakes and strawberries. This combination provides anywhere from 18-22g of protein.

Vanilla Protein Strawberry Smoothie
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use a local, grass-fed brand called ATP labs)
5-6 strawberries
500-750ml water
2 ice cubes
Fill your smoothie cup with all the ingredients, blend, and enjoy! It tastes like a strawberry milkshake with no sugar and 25g of protein.

Strawberries Rolled in Coconut Flakes
1 dozen strawberries
Small/fine coconut flakes
Simply roll the strawberries in the coconut flakes and enjoy! It looks like when we used to roll strawberries in granulated sugar as kids, but with the only sugar coming from the strawberries, and we get good fats and fiber from the coconut flakes.

This last dish is probably my favorite of them all because it’s so quick and delicious, you really feel like you’re eating a summer treat without the guilt.
You can also throw in some strawberries to your green salad or have a few on the side of some bacon and eggs for a complete breakfast.
However you decide to enjoy your strawberries, do have some under the Full Moon!
