It’s My Birthday! What I’m Celebrating Today.

It’s my birthday today and I’m not shied to say that I’m 35 and feeling alive! I have lots to be grateful for, plus age is just a number. I believe it’s all in how you age.

I attribute feeling well and vibrant to all my conscious decisions, habits, and choices I make daily for my body, mind, and soul. I live a very healthy lifestyle that is now deeply set in my routine because I believe that if I know better, I must do better. Yes, the reason why I know better is because I’m exposed to all sorts of health tips as my career has always been in the health and wellness industry. I love what I do and I love to help educate others so that they can feel their best too!

Now I would love to share with you what I’m celebrating, which include aspects of my life that I’m proud of and grateful for today. PLUS, I’ll share what a typical day in my life looks like with some of my routine habits.

Health Goals Achieved

  • My #1 favorite thing I did this year: quit refined sugar for good! Bottom-line, it causes inflammation, so who needs it?!

  • I began to RECEIVE bodywork regularly: I’m always GIVING massages, bodywork, energy work, and nutrition counselling; but to make time for myself so that I may continue to serve others has been a transformative decision.

  • I cut down on coffee! *gasp*

  • I’m happy to say I got back into reading (something for mental health) and I finished reading 7 books this past year.

They include:

The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield

The Tenth Insight: Holding the Vision by James Redfield

The Eleventh Insight: The Secret of Shambhala by James Redfield

The Twelfth Insight: The Hour of Decision by James Redfield

The Art of Dreaming by Carlos Castaneda

Somato-Emotional Release by Dr. John E. Upledger

The Cellulite Solution by Dr. Howard Murad, M.D

Career Goals Achieved

  • I finished “the big project”: I created and launched my online course which is based on the book I wrote!

  • I started my own YouTube Channel, which promotes mindfulness and relaxation.

  • I became a Reiki Master and Assistant Teacher.

  • I became a member of the Fascia Research Society.

  • I researched, wrote, and published over 25 health articles on a wide range of topics this year.

  • I successfully planned and attended my first meditation circle with colleagues, friends, and family.

  • I am so proud to say, that my husband, my life partner, is now my working partner as he switched careers and became a Certified Personal Trainer this year! He quit the tech world and joined (what we like to call) the “light” side! He will be collaborating with me and everyone at Reiki-Balance studio. After so many years of watching me and receiving from me, you know he learned from the best! Hahaha- a little pat on my own shoulder there. Congratulations my love!

Personal Lifestyle

  • I start every morning with 2 glasses of water. (Important to hydrate after sleeping)

  • I take natural supplements to support my health. (Try taking the basics like a multivitamin, Omega-3, Vitamin C and D.)

  • I follow an anti-inflammatory diet, which means greens and vegetables make up at least 50% of my diet. I also Follow the 'Plate Method', which I recommend to my nutrition clients for portion control.

  • I eat fruit as my "dessert", as it gets converted into glucose.

  • I have at least 1 tea a day.

  • I walk every day or every other day for a minimum of 30 - 50minutes.

  • I weight train 3x per week and track my stats.

  • I foam roll, stretch, and/or do yoga every day!

  • I meditate either at night to reflect and release my day, or in the morning to gain presence before I begin my day.

  • Plus, I work on you, my clients!

All in a week’s work!

I share this information with all of you in hopes of planting little seeds of health and motivation every time I post. To those of you who continue to read, share, listen, and support me- I say thank you!
